Online Blackjack News - Nugget executives face accusations for misdealing cards at blackjack table

Blackjack rivets attention once again with the new controversy surrounding the Golden Nugget resort. Sum of $30,000 was paid by executives of the resort as a settlement to complaint filed against them last month, by the Gaming Control Board. It featured the incident in which Nugget casino executive misdealt cards at a blackjack table amidst a celebrity show.
Casino executives were absent from the meeting and the procedure took less than 5 minutes. The settlement was approved and the lawyer, Ellen Whittemore was commissioned to deliver the check after the vote was taken.
Gaming Control Board officials pointed out that the penalty was far below what the regulators could have squeezed out of the casino. The fines could have been estimated in $100,000 per count or $300,000.
Tim Poster did admit to allegations of misdealing cards at blackjack table, but declined the wrongdoing of it. The blackjack incident took place in June 12 when the Golden Nugget casino hosted members of the HOB crime drama "The Sopranos" in a "meet and greet" event.
