How to Play in a Blackjack Tournament

  • The purpose is beating the dealer, by getting the closest to 21 as possible, without getting "busted".
  • When the dealer shows an ace, insurance is available at the price of half your bet. In this case, you won't lose the entire bet if the dealer draws a blackjack.
  • Unless the player draws a blackjack at the same time, the dealer wins automatically when he draws a blackjack. If both the dealer and the player get a blackjack, it is considered a push.
  • When you get blackjack (an ace combined with a ten or face card), you get paid 3-2.
  • The online blackjack dealer will always draw on a 16, and stand on 17.
  • Hands can be split on doubles, but you'll need to put in money in the amount of your original bet.
  • When you want to get another card, you may choose whether to "hit", or to double your bet on that card.
  • Reshuffling in the online blackjack tournament takes place 3/4 through the deck, so that unique cards are drawn in every game.
  • Your start money and credit are determined according to the rules at every online blackjack tournament site.

  • In most places, you can put bet up to a maximum of $1000.
