There is a new training program for those who wish to get their hands dirty in blackjack without jeopardizing their own finances. Those can acquire the profession of a blackjack dealer.
Casino employment is in high demand amongst the career hunting students, as the records reveal. The reasons are pretty straightforward - there is not a whole lot of training, in terms of the time investment and you are paid for being in a casino environment. In addition blackjack dealer is a respected position and casinos do not spare in benefits for their employees.
Niagara College, for about 10 years has been involved in the blackjack, as well as poker, roulette and baccarat Casino Dealer Training. The curriculum of the training was developed by three colleges, Niagara College, St. Clair College and Georgian College, first collaborated in 1997 and ended up being a standardized version of the program for all other Ontario based Dealer Training schools.
Training is passed in a classrooms in the Casino Lab, situated in the Maid of the Mist Campus in Niagara Falls. The program suits for individuals above 19 years of age who may or may not have had a secondary school education. Upon the graduation from the blackjack casino training program, the students will have to pass the final table test. The scores on the test will determine whether graduates receive Niagara College Continuing Education Certificates of Achievement or not.
