"She just said you're causing offence because you're showing a lot of front, you need to cover up or you need to leave," says Simpson.
Simpson did not leave right away and instead borrowed a zip-up top from a friend. But like her partner she was amazed and disappointed. "I suppose you will get this by the minority; the majority of the people are lovely but what happened was a bit of a nightmare really," says Chris Olivier, her partner.
An HR Consultant in the UK, Simpson says she has worn the dress all over Europe without complaint. "This is a year-old faithful - never had any problems before," says Helen. "In fact I've got comments on the dress - your dress is lovely, it's really nice, it fits you, it suits you...ever had any offence ever."
Chief executive Brett Anderson said he was drafting a letter to the English tourist and would not be commenting about what happened through the media and will not say whether she will be getting an apology. But some gamblers think she should get one.
"Unfortunately you do get people with big boobs and small boobs I mean if you don't like the look of them, don't look," says Simpson. With just two days left of her New Zealand holiday she is planning on baring a bit of extra flesh again - this time in the hot pools at Hanmer Springs.
