Online Blackjack News - Blackjack-Playing Husband to be Charged on First-Degree Murder of Estranged Wife
Justice of the Peace Bill Rogers in Dayton, Ohio, recently ruled that there was sufficient evidence to try defendant Christopher Deyerle on a charge of first-degree murder of his estranged wife Heather Greene-Deyerle in late spring. Police records show that Green was shot in the back of her head outside her parents' house in Dayton. Deyerle was arrested as the primary suspect in the murder.
Blackjack dealers from the Piņon Plaza Casino in Carson City, Nevada, reportedly told the judge that Deyerle visited the venue frequently and that he would often share his marital problems involving Greene with the casino staff. One of the blackjack dealers was reported as saying that, on a certain occasion, the 25-year-old defendant announced that he intended to purchase a gun.
On May 4th, the couple went to a notary together to sign their divorce papers. The murder reportedly occurred after they got back. Greene's parents, who, at the time, were inside the house, heard the gunshots. Deyerle escaped the scene of the crime and was found by authorities several hours later. Thus far, investigators assigned to the case had not found the gun used for shooting.
