Online Blackjack News - Caesars Tahoe Casino to Change Owners, Will Still Offer Blackjack and Other Casino Games

It was recently reported that Caesars Entertainment Inc. will no longer own and operate the Caesars Tahoe casino facility in South Lake Tahoe, California. The property was purchased by another major gaming operator, the Kentucky-based Columbia Sussex Corporation. Despite the fact that the casino will change owners, the doors of the gaming venue will remain open. The $45 million transaction is scheduled to take effect in late May.
Under Columbia Sussex's operation, the property will be named MontBleu. The 40,000-square-foot casino will receive complete remodeling and will offer 900 slot machines and 50 table games, like blackjack, craps, and roulette. The Roman-themed columns and fountains will be removed, and the venue will feature a lot of stone and woodwork.
Joe Yung, director of Development for Columbia Sussex Corp., was reported as saying that MontBlue will host several entertainment venues, such as a nightclub and high-end lounge, aimed to attract younger gamblers seeking to enrich their night lives. Columbia Sussex is also the owner of Tahoe's Horizon Casino and several other casinos across the U.S., including the Las Vegas-based Mandalay Bay, the Palms and the Hard Rock.
