Online Blackjack News - No Blackjack at Potential North Alabama Casino
Blackjack wont be in the cards for North Alabama, even if it sees the opening of its first casino. David Hammonds, the owner of 69 acres of property next to an Indian burial site in Fort Payne, may give this land to the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians this week for the purpose of opening a casino on the site.
Hammonds' main goal is to have a casino open in Fort Payne, a town situated in the northeast of the state, near Georgia and Tennessee. It is believed that construction of the proposed casino will begin as soon as all legal issues have been resolved.
Casino-type gaming halls already exist in Alabama. They are run by the Poarch Creek tribe and provide electronic bingo games. The proposed casino in Northeast Alabama will provide the same type of games, but not blackjack, roulette or slots.
