Online Blackjack News - Could Blackjack Be in the Cards for Gaza?

Will blackjack be part of Gaza's future? Just weeks after the Israeli pullout from the Gaza Strip, entrepreneurs and politicians alike are trying to figure out what to do with the newly evacuated land, including its 43 kilometers of grade-A coastline. Most are seeking out ways of rebuilding Gaza, with a focus on trying to raise its pitiful per capita GDP and give jobs to the area's 1.3 million unemployed residents (roughly 60 percent of Gaza's Palestinian population). According to Israeli businessman Samuel Flatto-Sharon, the area could benefit from a casino, complete with blackjack and other table games.
Flatto-Sharon has already entered talks with Palestinian authorities, regarding the possibility of constructing a hotel-casino along Gaza's northern border, in the area that until recently, housed the settlement of Alei Sinai. Blackjack, and other table games, will be managed by Palestinian dealers, a measure that should help assuage Gaza's unemployment rate.
Standing in the way of the potentially successful Gaza casino venture is the unrest that characterizes daily life in the territory. Lt. Gen. William Ward, in charge of America's effort to bring reform to Palestinian Authority security forces, recently issued a discouraging statement, saying that the PA's power to enforce the rule of law and keep the peace “does not currently exist." And as the authorities lose ground, terror groups are picking up the slack, a fact that does not bode well, either for the prospect of blackjack in Gaza, or more importantly, for stability and prosperity in the area.
