Online Blackjack News - Online Blackjack Games to Raise Funds for Hurricane Katrina Relief at Bodog.com

Online betting and gaming site Bodog.com recently announced that it would donate money from blackjack games to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Bodog said that it would designate $1 for each blackjack scored by players tomorrow, September 16, to the Red Cross' Hurricane Katrina relief fund. From the online blackjack charity initiative, Bodog has promised to donate up to $10,000.
The blackjack charity effort is Bodog's second initiative launched to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Bodog already donated proceeds from three charity poker tournaments hosted last week to the Red Cross' hurricane relief efforts.
Regarding his company's initiative to let members play blackjack online for a good cause, Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com, noted, “We are committed to these events because they offer our players the rarest of chances: a guaranteed reward. Just by playing blackjack on Friday you will be helping the many Americans struggling to get through this disaster.”
