Many popular games, such as blackjack, poker and many more, can already be found in mobile versions. These phones keep getting more advanced, faster and most importantly – cheaper, transforming the phone into an all-purpose entertainment device, portable and easy to carry and operate. This gives people a fun way to kill time, playing blackjack while waiting for the bus or spinning roulette in the queue at the bank.
192 million people in the USA have cell phones, more than half of whom download games, video clips, screensavers and ringtones. Cell phone users with more state-of-the-art models can play games in playstation quality and hear sounds in stereo. In short, the games have become much more fun.
This month, RadioShack started selling games for mobile phones and wireless devices. These games can be found in over 5,000 different stores, and include six popular games – Jamdat Bowling 2, Tetris, Solitaire, Casino/Blackjack, Yahtzee and Bejeweled. Each game costs $5-7 to download or $2-3 for a monthly subscription. So the next time you're bored waiting in the train station, don't forget you can take out your cell phone, and start “killing time” the fun way for a rather fair price.
