The Black Gold Casino, one of the 13 tribal casinos in New Mexico, is a rather large casino. It has over 600 slot machines, virtual blackjack tables, monopoly games, 3 restaurants and much more. No wonder that in just 6 months, the casino has made $23m, and is expected to reach revenue of $60m by the end of the year. This revenue, from an expected 2.2 million visitors (more than half of them from Texas), means that Black Gold Casino is indeed a worthy investment.
The casino has received a good amount of feedback, according to Phil Ziegler, the casino's marketing manager, especially since it expanded opening hours. Now, if people want to play blackjack first thing in the morning or late at night, nothing should really stop them. The casino is open from 9:00am to 12:30am, and on Friday and Saturday, it's open until 2:00am.
One of the newest additions to the casino is the virtual blackjack game, with many more additions to come, one of which is a possible hotel on the premises. The question is whether the hotel will be a part of the casino, or an independent business.
