Online Blackjack News - Blackjack gaming is torn between CCC's numerous law suits
M. Michael Monahan, the Ramsey County Court Judge, after a week of silence dismissed the case of the Columbus Concerned Citizens that sued Minnesota Racing Commission. The suit surrounded the matter of allegedly incompetent decision making regarding the grant of class A and B licenses to the North Metro Harness that embarked on the initiative to launch a $47.5 million gambling facility in the north of Gander Mountain area. This would offer live racing contentions and card rooms featuring blackjack and poker.
CCC created a group of anti track establishment and blackjack games for a number of reasons. The dissatisfaction of CCC was rooted in MRC allegedly breaching the rules of the open meeting, following the original denial. CCC further argued that email exchanges between MRC and NMHI officials were illicit, resulting in revision of the matter. Additionally, CCC ratified that the proposed site for the track would inflame criminal activities.
Due to the lack of proper allegations, Monahan dismissed the case. But CCC has another suit on the way, doubting the legality of license granting to NMHI in the first place. Should it be revoked, the card room featuring blackjack and other games, together with the harness track could finally be launched.
