Richard Harvey, 40 is one of the more unique human beings, who sees no contradiction in combining his passion for writing books on gambling and writing fictional stories for third graders. He is the author of a number of books on Blackjack strategy, including “Cutting Edge Blackjack”, “Blackjack the Smart Way”, “Richard Harvey’s Blackjack PowerPrep Session” and “Ways to Win More at Blackjack.”
Allegedly, the hook for card games he inherited from his grandmother, who was a member of a bridge club in Manhattan. Bridge was the first game he got introduced to but blackjack became his life long passion and there is not much he doesn’t know about this game. His blackjack books tackle such buzzing issues as identifying the dealer’s hole card, placing a cut card after the end of shuffling and most importantly, when should one gather his stuff and leave.
In his other self, he is a Professor Christopher Furfur, the author of recently published adventure book for children. Furfur is a character Harvey assumes, while delving into the world of fiction and sometimes performing in front of the children. He said, the character allows him to directly communicate with the kids.
