Changes in gambling statutes, incepted last year in Oklahoma have had a tremendous effect on Indian casinos. The buzz created by newly infused games such as blackjack and Vegas slot machines have double boosted the popularity of tribal casinos. Yet, Oklahoma casinos are still bereft of roulette and craps tables and no alcohol beverages are served.
The state of Oklahoma finally allows itself to reap the seeds of what once has begun as a seminal casino project. Oklahoma is now proudly collecting some of its gambling revenues and specialists foresee yearly rise in $71 million, once blackjack is accompanied by kin table games in all the tribal casinos.
Winstar casino has already brought a breeze of fresh air to population of Texas gamblers. Tough reviled local legislators are fiercely rebuffing such gabling endeavors. A vast number of gamblers, however, seem to head off these setbacks and continue to relish in whatever Oklahoma Indian casinos have to offer. As Bill Thompson, University of Nevada professor said, Dallas-Fort Worth gamblers now take the short cut, curtailing the distance in half.
Blackjack appears to have occupied a warm place in the hearts of Oklahoma gamblers. Some casino officials believe that blackjack and other tables games draw in more of a diversified crowd and lots of females seemed to have shown some interest.
