New casino chips based on the enhanced technology identifying radio frequencies were integrated recently in the Harold Rock Hotel and Casino blackjack tables. The weekend abounded in gamblers of all walks of life and in the Peacock Lounge, where a key attraction is a high-limit blackjack room, casino managers could rest at peace with a new smart device implementation.
In the past, casinos had only pit bosses and dealers to oversee the procedure of card games such as blackjack and others. It was their responsibility to estimate the average betting of gamblers, essential for later assessment of freebies or variety of discounts each player was entitled to.
Though trained on a very high level they were susceptible to a human fallacy. A new chip technology however, entirely eliminates such errors by automatically scanning the position of each gambler at each given moment in the play. The information is then transferred to a computer poised at the dealer’s or pit boss’s table which flows in a real time. These computer chips are implanted into the gambling plastic ones that can pass to radio frequency signals to special sensors hiding under the gaming table. Phillips made microprocessors are embedded with chips, where each one is discerned by a different number, allowing its traceability throughout the game.
