The Soaring Eagle Casino Resort is a multimillion-dollar gambling facility. It has been 10 years since its doors were open for the first visitors. The complex comprises a four-diamond hotel which is operated by the Saginaw Chippewa tribe. About 73 table games including blackjack, craps, poker and roulette bring an annual take of $400 million.
The Vegas odor of the Soaring Eagle lures approximately 13,000 visitors per day. Most of the guests are little elderly ladies and men wearing baseball caps who are in search for the ultimate blackjack, slots and other casino games.
Soaring Eagle is the role model for surrounding sites across Ohio seeking to launch similar enterprises. One of such proposals involves the adjacent Lordstown, which is prospected to have similar to Soaring Eagle design catering the same suit of games: blackjack, craps poker and others. According to the agreement Soaring Eagle is committed to earmark 2 percent from its gaming revenues to a few neighboring communities. Chamber of Commerce President, James Kostrava of the nearby Mount Pleasant ratified that it was a pleasure to have Soaring Eagle in such proximity and the affect it had has been nothing but positive.
