Online Blackjack News - Blackjack - which is a better bet?
The under or the over 13, is a blackjack side bet when a player has to guess whether the two cards he was dealt total over or below 13 (Aces count as 1). This is not the most advantageous bet for the player, since the casino edge is rather high. But to choose from the two, the under 13 bet would be better.
In blackjack, the under 13 bet has the average house edge of 6%. This may vary depending on the number of decks played. However, once compared to the over 13 bet with its 10% house edge, the under bet definitely fares better.
