Online Blackjack News - Black Sheep on the Blackjack tournament series
|
|
A retired cop, Joseph Pane who makes living by playing blackjack tournaments around the country, in 2000 moved from New York to Henderson to enjoy the proximity of major blackjack tournaments. His assets at that time were estimated in $500,000, earned solely in tournament winnings.
Recently, he filed suit against Green Valley Station Casino, claiming that he was wrongfully portrayed as a cheat on a reality show, “American Casino” and consequently ushered from other casino and gambling tournaments. Pane ratified that he has never been indulging in sleight, or any other form of cheating.
He maintained that blackjack show, in which he participated, was bounded to the script and specifically edited so that it appeared as if he performed a cheating operation. It was an attempt to spice up what would otherwise have been a routine blackjack tournament episode.
The show producers approached him saying that the segment is designed to depict the excitement of a blackjack tournament and that he should be as loud and outgoing as possible. Instead, the mangers had others things in mind. Their goal was to exhibit a black sheep on the national TV, by blemishing Pane as a leery and infringing individual.
Since the game, Joseph Pane has been going through hell, shadowed by the criminal image blackjack series has tailored for him.
