U.S. Sen. George Voinovich, elected in 1991, has recently bonded with Attorney General Jim Petro and Clevland-area businessman David Zanotti to express a sound anti-gambling stance. Voinovich maintained that casino proponents eager to play blackjack on the open and enjoy the allegedly recreational urban services have been blindfolded by casino managers who argue that casinos catering games such as blackjack would be a panacea to the destitute finances of the state.
Voinovich said that not only do casinos donate a great deal to the family frictions and destruction, in some cases, but the urban ailments would only get worse, contrary to what is claimed by casino developers.
While it is true that blackjack dealers, pit bosses, cocktail waitresses and other casino staff would greatly capitalize on the gambling expansion, the existing hotels, restaurants, entertainment businesses and retailers would wind up in debts and overall dilapidation
